I bought this product to deal with the scale to the interior of our spa that has been progressing every years since we had our pool remodeled about 5 years ago.  My husband was told by the pool company to keep smoothing out the finish every spring with muriatic acid.  The plaster finish is so rough and has worn down to the concrete is a few spots.  I used this product patch the bare spots and thinly over the entire rough surface in an attempt to smooth it out rather than further erode the surface and to try to avoid re-plastering the spa.  I don't have enough confidence to try of the other products that might be used for this purpose.  This product is very forgiving.  The spa IS smoother than before but not as smooth as it should be, but we believe it as at least usable now.  We don't know yet if this will hold up over the winter or have the same scale problem again in the spring.  But I can do this myself and may try to do it again next spring if needed.
