I purchased the 18” trowel with my first order. Due to all the curves in our pool sides, it didn’t work for probably 60% of the walls. When I ordered the two extra mixes, I added the 12” trowel. With both, we were able to cover 90% of the walls and flooring.  
I highly recommend ordering both sizes if your pool has a lots of curves. Made the project so much easier!
